The selected topic was space debris. The goal was to engage multidisciplinary teams with a concrete scientific issue, then turn it into playable experiences able to make that topic more tangible and easier to understand.
The format was designed for students, researchers, training organizations, and industry stakeholders alike. It was meant both to produce prototypes and to create concrete exchanges between academia, the professional ecosystem, and emerging talent.
The event brought together 10 teams and around 60 students over a full production weekend. The topic of space debris was tackled through games and prototypes that made the research more visible, more approachable, and easier to discuss among participants.
Teams brought together profiles from development, game design, art, and audio. The event also created exchanges with the video game ecosystem, education, and research, while showcasing both the produced projects and the studio’s event design capabilities.
